Meet the cast of The Laramie Project as they discuss the challenges, rewards, and reasons for being involved with this groundbreaking and moving production. The Laramie Project, directed by Laurie Dillman, opens Thursday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m. with two additional performances on November 8 and November 9. The cast of Studio Players’ second production of the 2013-2014 Season, The Laramie Project, has been selected. In order of appearance, they are Michael Eberhardy, Eric Rautmann, Hannah Benton, Elisabeth Albeck, Dan Hennell, Mike Roehl, Angela Ramey, and Jennifer Schleinz. Each actor portrays several characters in a series of vignettes that reenact interviews with the residents of Laramie, Wyo. following the murder of Matthew Shepard.
The Laramie Project is directed by Laurie Dillman and runs November 7-9, 2013 at The Paradigm Annex Theatre. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 in advance at Paradigm Coffee & Music or at the door. Seating is limited.

Studio Players, Sheboygan’s unconventional and intimate theatre experience, will be holding auditions for The Laramie Project on Tuesday, September 10 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Wednesday, September 11 beginning at 6:30 p.m. All auditions will be held at The Paradigm Annex Theatre, connected to Paradigm Coffee & Music on 1202 N 8th Street in Sheboygan.To audition, interested actors should prepare one of the selected monologues from the show.
Director Laurie Dillman is seeking 8-10 adult male & female actors to portray nearly 70 roles. The Laramie Project is a collection of short vignettes detailing life in Laramie, Wyoming following the death of Matthew Shepard, who was the victim of a hate crime in 1998.
Much like the themes presented in the show, The Laramie Project was recently the subject of some controversy when a high school principal decided the show was too mature for students to perform. One of the goals of Studio Players is to offer a safe space for controversial material to be presented. Actors should be aware that this show contains adult themes and language.
A cast read through will take place on Thursday, September 12. Regular rehearsals will begin Monday, September 30. Performances will take place Thursday-Saturday, November 7-9 at 7:30 p.m. A final rehearsal schedule will be determined after casting.
